Videos and products pages: how to navigate, filter, and interpret metrics

Explore the Videos and Products pages in ShopShark to find winning products, evaluate content performance, and identify revenue trends on TikTok Shop.

Updated this week

ShopShark gives you access to real performance data across TikTok Shop, so you can identify which products, videos, and creators are actually generating revenue. This article walks you through how the platform is organized and how to use the Videos and Products pages.

When logged into ShopShark, you land directly on the Popular Videos page. The platform is organized into two main sections, accessible from the left-side navigation menu.

  • Videos: Content-level analysis of TikTok videos promoting products.

  • Products: Product-level performance data and sales trends.

  • Lives: Performance data for TikTok live sessions, including revenue, viewers, and product results.

Each ShopShark section focuses on a specific layer of TikTok Shop performance and connects to the others through time-based analysis.

Note: Opening a product detail page, a video detail page, or a Live detail page each counts as a Deep Dive toward your daily limit.

For information on ShopShark plans, pricing, and account setup, see ShopShark: analytics and research platform for TikTok Shop.

The Videos page

The Popular Videos page is the first page you see when you log in to ShopShark. It displays TikTok videos ranked by performance, giving you an immediate overview of which content is generating the most traction on TikTok Shop.

Filters and sorting

At the top of the Popular Videos page, you can filter and sort results to focus on the data that matters most to you.

Content filters:

  • Category: Filter videos by product category.

  • Estimated Video Revenue: Filter by the estimated revenue the video has generated.

  • Commission Rate: Filter by the commission rate associated with the product featured in the video.

  • Estimated Commission Value: Filter by the estimated commission value in dollar amount.

  • Product: Filter by a specific product.
Note that not all products will have associated videos. If a product appears in ShopShark but no creator has published a video promoting it, the product's results will be empty.

Published On filter:

  • Any date: Show all videos regardless of publication date.

  • Today: Show videos published within the last scraping cycle, approximately 24 hours. The Today filter is available on the Pro and Premium plans. On the Trial and Explorer plans, the Today filter is visible but locked, and clicking it displays an upgrade prompt.

  • Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 60 days: Show videos published within the selected preset range.

  • Custom date range: Define a specific start and end date.

To remove all active filters at once in ShopShark, use the Clear all filters button on the right side of the filter bar, and to define how results are organized, use the Sort by option located next to it.

Common use cases

The following use cases show how to apply ShopShark data to solve common challenges on TikTok Shop.

Trend identification before saturation

If you want to find a product that is already generating sales today and list it in your store before the trend peaks, use the ShopShark Today filter combined with a category selection to find products generating significant GMV in the last 24 hours.

Note: The Today filter is available on the ShopShark Pro and Premium plans only. On the Trial and Explorer plans, the filter is visible but locked.

Affiliate recruitment based on sales performance

If you want to recruit affiliates but follower count alone is not a reliable indicator of performance, use ShopShark GMV metrics and creator contact information to identify creators who have demonstrated actual sales results, rather than high engagement with low conversion.

Competitor sales spike analysis

If a competitor is achieving high daily sales and you want to understand whether those results come from organic videos, paid content, or live streams, use ShopShark's time-based performance analysis to correlate their sales spikes with video uploads and live sessions.

Product lifecycle and inventory risk

If you want to avoid dead stock or committing to a product that is past its peak, monitor the ShopShark 7-day or 30-day sales trend charts with the daily gains view to assess whether the product is still growing, reaching saturation, or already in decline.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

How reliable is the connection between a video and a product sales spike?

The connection between a video and a product sales spike in ShopShark is based on time comparison, not on proven causation. ShopShark identifies which videos were published during a sales spike so you can recognize patterns. Interpreting that correlation is part of your own analysis process, and ShopShark recommends combining this information with other data points available in the platform.

What happens when a daily limit is reached in ShopShark?

When a daily detail view or search limit is reached in ShopShark, a blocking message appears on the relevant page to inform you that the limit for the day has been reached. To continue using ShopShark, you can wait for the reset at 00:00 UTC or upgrade your plan to increase your daily allowance.
